Today, I want to mention 3 BIG areas where people struggle leading themselves.
1. Time management: When we lack time management, we are consistently late, and it's always somebody else's fault. We don't live by priorities. We respond to life instead of running our life. The very things that we say are important always get neglected. We always say, “If I just had more time, I would ______________________.”
2. Financial management: When we don't lead ourselves financially, we don't know where our money is going. We spend more than we make. We get into more and more consumer debt. We don't return the tithe to God because we feel like we don't make enough money. The word “budget” is a swear word. We are consumed with materialism and greed. Our money is running us instead of us running our money.
3. Spiritual management: When we don't lead ourselves spiritually, we are inconsistent in our daily prayer and Bible reading. We consistently miss church. We never get involved in serving and a small group. We struggle with the same sins year after year. We blame where we are spiritually on everybody else but ourselves. Every year, we are farther from God instead of closer to God.
